The juniors got to spent yesterday morning learning and sketching at the National Gallery of Art. They focused on art from the early and high Renaissance periods, including Jan van Eyck’s Annunciation, Raphael’s Alba Maddona, Leonardo da Vinci’s Ginerva de’ Benci, and more. Afterward, they enjoyed lunch and gelato in the cafeteria before exploring the East Building and a current exhibit – Paris 1874: The Impressionist Moment.
