“One of life’s quiet excitements is to stand somewhat apart from yourself and watch yourself softly becoming the author of something beautiful.”

Norman Maclean, A River Runs Through It

At Trinity School, we recognize not only the practical value of the arts but also their power to move your child. When young people come to appreciate beauty, they become better people for it.

All students at Trinity take four years of studio art, four years of music, two years of drama and two years of art history. Our art courses focus on copying masterworks from the great Western art tradition and developing artistic skills that will last them a lifetime. In music, students learn to read, compose and perform music using both recorder and the voice as instruments. In drama, students are taught the techniques of acting and they act in two performances, including at least one Shakespeare play.

Over the course of six years, one of a Trinity parent’s quiet excitements is to stand somewhat apart and watch your own child become the author of something beautiful.
