Dr. Nicholas Jones from the Naval Surface Warfare Center visited the 10th grade chemistry classes to talk about his work as a Materials Engineer and do some demonstrations. He showed students what happens when objects are exposed to extreme temperatures, how to turn themselves into human speakers, and why car suspension systems use magnetorheological dampers for the ultimate smooth ride.
